PSI's Profile

PSI provides quality statistical consulting, education, and software services. Past projects include developing and teaching courses in statistics and S-PLUS for U.S. EPA and Merck, expert witness for environmental and health care litigation for Amundsen & Smith, co-authoring original version of Value On-Line™ (software for automated housing appraisal), programming for climate modeling for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, statistical analyses for biomedical firms, market research, developing and teaching courses in S-PLUS for Insightful Corporation, and validation of calibration software for TeraStat, Inc.

Steven P. Millard, Ph.D., is the president of PSI and has worked in the field of statistics for over 20 years. He has several published papers, and is a member of the American Statistical Association. Published books include Applied Statistics in the Pharmaceutical Industry (Springer-Verlag), Environmental Statistics with S-PLUS (CRC Press) and EnvironmentalStats for S-PLUS User's Manual (Springer-Verlag). His professional activities include consulting, teaching, past president of the Puget Sound Chapter of the American Statistical Association, and refereeing articles for numerous journals such as The American Statistician, Environmental and Ecological Statistics, and Water Resources Research.
