Query Language

The text search engine allows queries to be formed from arbitrary Boolean expressions containing the keywords AND, OR, and NOT, and grouped with parentheses. For example:

environmental statistics

finds documents containing 'environmental' or 'statistics'

environmental or statistics

same as above

environmental and statistics

finds documents containing both 'environmental' and 'statistics'

environmental not statistics

finds documents containing 'environmental' but not 'statistics'

(environmental not statistics) and S-PLUS

finds documents containing 'S-PLUS', plus 'environmental' but not 'statistics'

env*

finds documents containing words starting with 'env'
